Jerry Edwards


Jerry brings over thirty years of risk management experience, primarily in the public sector. His experience as a teacher, school administrator, school board member (12 years), Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) board member (3 years) and TASB Risk Management Executive (10 years), has given him a broad background of knowledge.

His work with many different types of entities and associations has given him insight on various approaches and designs to meet the unique employer and employee needs and objectives, and an understanding of how to help them control and manage their risk management and employee benefit programs and losses.

Besides managing all aspects of large risk management pools for state associations, Jerry has helped numerous other entities and associations develop their programs. Jerry continues to consult with individual entities and associations in the areas of workers’ compensation, group health, property and liability, and unemployment compensation.

He has been awarded “Honorary Life Membership” by the Texas Association of Community Schools and an “Award of Distinction” by the Texas Association of School Business Officials for services to schools in Texas.

Jerry holds a Type 18-00 Risk Managers License from the Texas Department of Insurance.
